Mixing is still the dirtiest step on the line.

Every tin of paint, every drum of adhesive, every batch of sealant has to be mixed before it is used — and that one step is where most of the cost, waste and risk still hide. Open the lid and solvent evaporates into the room. Stir in open air and you fold in bubbles, skin and inconsistency. Decant between containers and you lose material to every wall you touch — then pay to clean them.
